Special viewing of the Bowden Car Collection
Keep this day free as we have been invited to a special viewing of the Bowden car collection. It is one of Australia’s finest collections with well over $20 million in significant racing, sports and muscle machinery. The feature of the day are the original cars as raced by legendary greats like Moffat, Brock, Geoghegan, Johnson and Beechey. Tour guide Dan Bowden, shares his families great passion in relaying many of the interesting stories these priceless cars have to offer. For the ardent Porschafiles there are quite a few rare and historic German exotica throughout the tour. It all takes a bit over 3 hours and there are great BBQ facilities for those wanting to have lunch on the property afterwards. Make sure you get topped up on all the great car care products (Bowden’s Own) the family produce for their collection before you leave as well.
The private collection is not open to the public and the numbers are limited to just 60 people. Last time the club had the chance for a day like this was two years ago and the day booked out pretty quickly….So do not wait another two years for the next opportunity!! Costs for the day are $20.00 a head. The meeting place is at the BP service station at the Chevallum/ Buderim exit, Northbound side of the Bruce Hwy. 9am Sharp, try not to be late!
